Ford City Bridge, September 2000 On September 12, 2000 the Old Ford City Bridge over the Allegheny River in Ford City, Pennsylvania was brought down using 400 shape charges (85 pounds) firing simultaneously. The 940-foot bridge was brought down in two phases, and the second, 670-foot phase was presented live as the first live webcast of a bridge blast.   The video was made by Protec, specialists in the documentation and monitoring of demolition projects.
