On September 12, 2000 the Old Ford City Bridge over the Allegheny River in Ford City, Pennsylvania was brought down using 400 shape charges (85 pounds) firing simultaneously.
The 940-foot bridge was brought down in two phases, and the second, 670-foot phase was presented live as the first live webcast of a bridge blast.
